Chinese film night: "The King of Masks"
The Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures is pleased to present Chinese Film Night on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. in Eddy, Room 212. The film is free and open to the public. The King of Masks depicts the gender prejudice of early 20th century China. It is heart-breaking to see how hard life was for the characters, and yet the story and the ending are incredibly joyful. You truly see the beauty of human existence in this film. The film is in Mandarin Chinese with English subtitles.
