2012 Interior Design Senior Show
CSU’s Interior Design class of 2012 will host their Senior Show on Thursday, May 10 from 2:00 to 5:00pm at the Lincoln Center in Fort Collins, CO. The show is open to the public from 4-5 p.m.
Each year the capstone class elects a senior show chair (Susan Casebeer) and committee heads in the fall; this group plans the theme and venue with faculty guidance by Katharine Leigh, Ph.D., IIDA sharing concept ideas, menu, and thematic details with the class as they are developed. This year’s theme is based on Richard Farson’s The Power of Design relevant to seniors entering the profession because he believes designers have the potential as problem solvers to act as advocates and practitioners for social change. The ‘Show’ is an on-going tradition within the Interior Design program providing each graduating senior the opportunity to display and celebrate, with faculty, peers, family, and friends, their portfolios including recently completed capstone projects.
The show is a time of celebration and a way to honor and recognize fellow students, faculty, and community members by students and their families. This year, Marc Herndon, member and President of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) with RNL Architecture, Denver is the keynote speaker. A message from the faculty will be given by Robert Work, MFA and a presentation given by Audrey Murray, Outstanding Senior for the College of Applied Human Sciences and member of the senior class. For more information please contact Susan Casebeer ’12, Senior Show Chair or Katharine Leigh, Ph.D.
